The Healthsmart** Gravity Feed Water
Filter is designed for use in situations where a reliable supply of safe
drinking water is unavailable. Unbelievable as it sounds you can actually pour
creek water in this filter and a short time later have clean, good tasting
water. How? The pore structure of the ceramic filters inside is designed to
remove very fine particles and bacteria. Made of high grade, polished stainless
steel that is hygienic, durable and easy to clean, this filter removes 99.99% of
bacteria including E coli and Salmonella typhi, in addition to chlorine, rust,
sediment, organic chemicals and heavy metals. With a filtration rating
efficiency down to 0.5 micron, this is one powerful filter. Can be used camping
or where there is no municipally treated water. The gravity feed system also
works when water pressure is too low for other filters. Takes minutes to
assemble and can provide up to 20 gallons (80 litres) of safe drinking water
